3D Felted Illustrations for my wife's upcoming children's book! I've been challenging myself during my time freelancing to learn something new in Blender every single day. My wife decided that she was going to write a children's book, by expanding on a story she told to our daughter one night before bed. With that, Clover Brooks was created! The story follows Clover on her quest to find a new place to call home, within the idillic meadow she found. We encounter her friends Shelton the Snail and Queenie the Bee. Not to spoil the ending, but I've included some fruits and veggies that she finds in the place she eventually calls home. There is still much to do, but I wanted to share what I have so far. It has been so much fun learning to sculpt and create the textures for this world. The next steps after creating the assets and scenes will be to learn how to animate everything! That's a whole other journey in and of itself!
